IV. Maj. Gen. John Newton, U.S. Volunteers, having reported at these headquarters, is assigned to the command of the Second Division of the Fourth Army Corps, and will report in person to Maj. Gen. O. O. Howard, commanding the corps.

XXIII. The following transfers are hereby made in the Twentieth Army Corps:

The Twentieth Connecticut Infantry is transferred from the First Brigade, First Division, Twentieth Army Corps, to the Second Brigade, Third Division, Twentieth Army Corps.

The Fifth Connecticut Infantry is transferred from the Second Brigade, Third Division, Twentieth Army Corps, to the First Brigade, First Division, Twentieth Army Corps.
