The weekend of September 10-12 will mark the long awaited return to our 1999 campaign season at the Kautz Ironstone Vineyards in Murphy's. The Confederate and Union Camps will be in the same location as past years. You may begin arriving after 12:00 PM on Friday the 10 to set up camp. All vehicles must be out of camp by 9:00 am Saturday. There is a shuttle from the parking lot to the event site during the day.
Some firewood will be provided but you may want to bring some extra. Water is questionable as of this publication so please bring some bottled water. There is a tactical planned for either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Please try and show up before 9:00 am on Saturday. For those of you who have not been to an event in awhile, Murphy's is definitely a must, plus we miss you, so please come on out. We will be going around and taking donations for Tom Culross's family during the weekend so please try and show up for this event. There is a plan to eat canned peaches and to take donations in those cans (yes, we plan to clean the cans first). Hope to see everyone there. |
Well its time to muster up once again for Murphy's. The long summer off is over. Although I myself will not be at Murphy's (National Guard Duty) I encourage all of you to attend.
1st Sgt. Jim Thompson will command the company. I would like to see enough people turnout to form a respectable unit. We will also be taking donations for a fund to honor Tom Culross that we will present to his family at Fresno. The Kearney Park event will be Oct. 1-3. We need a maximum effort by all Possums and Pouchlings, as we will be honoring Tom Culross that weekend. Plus Company elections will be held at Kearney Park. Anyone interested in running please announce at Murphy's as there will be no time for a Post before Fresno as we will be at Chickamauga. As of this time I do not know who is running for what positions. I would also like to extend a big Possum welcome to our newest member of the 14th. Tony Fusie has signed transfer papers and is now one of us. Welcome aboard Tony! Hope to see all of you at Kearney Park, some of you I'll see in Chattanooga. |
